ActRaiser
So I finally found out what that game I had forgotten the name of that I played many moons ago when my my sister had a SNES was called: ActRaiser.
Turns out that it has been released on Virtual Console for the Wii now and there is a mobile version too. Basically I just had this vague child hood memory of an angel flying around while little people built a town and an overwhelming sense of awesomeness was attached to this memory. I was reminded of this game whilst looking at Populus and found the name by typing “SNES god sim” into the holy web grail of Google. I am now half way through the ROM thanks to the zSnes emulator.
This game is every bit as awesome as I remembered. I had totally forgotten about the Castlevania style action sections. Thank you Enix, I love you!

Pirates of Silicon Valley
Just finished watching this film… awesome! Something I had intended to watch for some time but just hadn’t got round to. According to what I have read about Apple the film is pretty spot on, other than a few factual skips to aid the pace of the narrative this film gives a very accurate (if a little over dramatised) look into the rise of Apple and Steve Jobs.
